Consequences

  • The relationships between the French, the Iroquois, and the English deteriorated after King George's War. 
 
  • The English and Iroquois began to trade, and the French became fearful of the British Merchants. 
 
  • The French became fearful of the British trying to expand into their territory and began to build fortresses. 
 
  • The British also began to increase their military forces and fortresses for defense purposes.
 
  • The tensions began to rise between the French and the Indians over the next five years, and the next French and Indian War began in 1756.
