Crops Produced by the Cherokee Tribe

The most common crops produced by the Cherokee nation were corn, sunflowers, beans, pumpkins, and many others. Because the Cherokee was stationary, farming was a vital part of their culture; it was the main source of their food.
After the Europeans arrived to the new world, they introduced the native Cherokees to fruits, such as watermelons and peaches. They also began to breed horses and other livestock, such as cattle ("Cherokee Agriculture").
